Across stages, institutions, festivals, kitchens, and community spaces, the assignment stays the same: understand the room, anticipate the pressure points, and move the work forward.
Production leadership and primary day-of coordination spanning artist movement, rehearsals, venue transfers, hospitality, high-stakes transportation, and company-management logistics.
Pre-production, artist and creative-team communication, venue coordination, rehearsal and performance reporting, recording, and workshop presentation support.
Led food and beverage, artist hospitality, vendor management, permits, deliveries, staffing, and unified operations for festivals serving 10,000 and 25,000 attendees.
Provides executive-level arts management and development consultation, advances programs from conception through execution, and develops funding pathways for new initiatives and future endowments. The work draws on experience across opera, education, youth programs, and cultural institutions.

About Alyssa
I’m a Belizean-American creative and operations leader—New York City born and raised, Caribbean rooted, and shaped by a life in the arts.
Both of my parents were born and raised in Belize, and that heritage is central to how I work. I carry forward the resourcefulness, improvisation, warmth, and communal care that I think of as Caribbean ingenuity: make something meaningful with what you have, welcome people fully, and never lose the story behind the work.
I trained as an opera singer and studied arts management before building a career across stage and production management, event operations, hospitality, higher education, and cultural programming. The path may look wide, but the through line is simple: understand the vision, care for the people, and build what the moment requires.

I use my experience inside opera, performance, and nonprofit institutions to advise cultural organizations on operations, audience experience, artist care, programming, and new pathways to community. I support new works from conception through execution and help legacy institutions remain rigorous while becoming more welcoming, representative, and connected to the people around them.
My work with JPJB Family Foundation connects Belizean culture to youth education, technology access, mental wellness, career readiness, and hands-on culinary learning. As a board member and cooking instructor, I help turn cultural knowledge into practical programs that can travel across diasporas, borders, and generations.
As a culinary and cultural content creator, I explore Belizean and Caribbean foodways, diaspora stories, and the histories hiding inside familiar dishes. My goal is to make cultural education vivid, useful, and irresistible—and to grow that work through partnerships, editorial projects, teaching, and media.
Sharing space, negotiating personalities, reading the room, and finding an individual voice started early. In hindsight, it may have been my first training in ensemble work, diplomacy, and live operations.
